Here are 10 Gentle Sleep Tips for You:
1. DAILY EXPOSURE TO SUNLIGHT.
Exposure to the daylight will regulate the circadian rhythm, building their sleep hormones improving sleep and providing sensory experience.
2. PATTERN DEVELOPMENT.
Taking note of their sleep and wake times is beneficial to ensure that you meet them half way when their bodies are calling for rest.
3. NATURAL CUES.
Observe their signs of sleepiness and how they respond when need sleep. This will help you establish when they are feeling discomfort and how to deal with it.
4. SLEEP HYGIENE.
Create an environment that they can associate sleep with to ease into their sleep. Things like lights and temperature are a huge key to sleeping well.
5. FEEDING ROUTINES.
A fully tummy provides comfort and security which helps addresses discomfort and hunger.
6. NAP TIMES.
You can allocate times for the baby to nap during the day ensuring they don't replace night's sleep. The recommended nap times are 2-3 naps a day that can have 3-4 hour wake time between the naps.
